IMPORTANT Adwords - Redesign or implementation
So it was bothering me (as someone who has written a lot of integration code with Google API's) that not one word or mention of any changes to the Ad Rank Algorithms was posted on the Google Adwords Developer API Website Forum. (For those that do not know, developers use these forums to communicate to each other changes to the overall developers community, Q&A, code base additions etc. We do this so 3rd party code will not "break" based on changes that Google make to their API's, Google run the forums and make changes all the time.

Now, it is possible to encapsulate some internal functions and maintain the same API (think hide for non programmers) but not likely to make such huge changes without notifying anyone without even a single post. When I posted the question directly the response I got back was that they did not know what I was talking about. You can try this yourself if you have a Google developer account.

So I tossed the motion to my attorney this morning and he pointed out why ... read what Google's attorneys say in the summery section on Running Royalties.

Quote ... "As a result IP Engine cannot receive any royalty for the period after re-design was finalized on May 11, 2013" . This was last Saturday. So does anyone see the issue?

It does not mention anything about implementation. There is further evidence of this because a feature they say they disabled (the QBB) very clearly states that "it was disabled". But the rest do not, they basically say we think we have a new design that does not infringe (their opinion not mine as I do not think it's possible without using a completely different approach), BUT NOTHING about implementation.

Redesign and a working system are very different things guys. Good news for longs, bring on the appeal. Less
