Why use that?

In game theory, the hiding of your sell benefits you if you're the only seller at that price point.

With multiple sellers, you never know if your order will get filled because of too much downward pressure.

If there are 500k unknown shares to e sold, the frustrated sellers will just lower their ask, potentially causing you to miss yours.

Its like Prisoner's Dilemma: work together or don't work together at all... Just know that working together, hiding a large dark pool, causes the price to decline.

I wish i had my old securities professor email or on LinkedIn/Facebook. There must be another benefit I simply haven't derived yet.
