The question is when?
Politicians are getting of the 'Legal' bandwagon and moving towards 'decriminalization', which is a stalemate.
Decriminalization addresses the legal costs: prosecuting and imprisoning. It avoids rescheduling and dealing with the hassles of legislation of states rights versus federal law trump cards.
Politicians got a lot of support from young folks to legalize, but the older crowd fought back (so much irony)... So now politicians are looking for a way to appease both, and decriminalization of small amounts is their answer.
M/MJ proponents are celebrating decriminalization efforts, however they're too stoned to realize its a small step towards addressing the drug war, and it ignores the medicinal research and individual use and responsibility that citizens already enjoy with tobacco and alcohol.
The political trends of the last month tell me that full national legalization with a proper rescheduling of THC is a long way off.
For MJNA to take off: reschedule is paramount.
