I know you we're talking to secret but I was in a similar boat .. I've been trading for about 1year 2mts .. I've lost ALOT made ALOT but could have made more.. I'm close to even now but if had the experience I would have been well over 6 figures off a 10k start up investment ... Here's what I've learned and some tips

1.leave your emotions at the door , don't get emotionally attached to a stock because you will build false hope in your head

2.CUT YOUR LOSSES.. Have a plan when you buy a stock and say "hey if gets lower then this point I will sell no matter what!! that goes good with my next tip

3. Have a plan and stick to it .. That's for profits or losses

4.dont get greedy! Example .. I played APS pick this year called TAGG and off a 7k investment I was up 29 thousand dollars!!! I should have sold atleast 80% of my shares! I didn't and guess what greed got the best me , I held for another day the stocked tank and I was barely able to leave with any profit! DON'T GET GREEDY! I've learned my lesson.. YOUL NEVER GO BROKE TAKING PROFITS!

5.do your own DD this Is goes for real plays .. Not P&D .. research before you buy and feel comfortable when you make a decision.

6. find people here that will give you sound advice and tips and stick with them, follow them ask questions ! My father always told me "Its not WHAT you know but WHO you know!" because there are alot of people here just looking out for them selves "bashers" "pumpers" etc its all just noise!!

These are just a few tips I've learned from hours of research and experiences I've had .. Everyday I'm the market is a learning experience treat it as such !! the more you involve yourself the better trader/investor you will become!
