Well yes and no. Now I'm not a accountant but I believe that if you take the stock instead of the cash then it's a non-taxable event and your holding period continues. That could make a big difference for the investors, like myself, that are long HL. The traders just want the cash and if forced to accept stock the'll most likely sell it as soon as possible. AZK has been a well know buyout target for months and many of the guys holding AZK are not metal/miner investors. Frankly I hope a sell off does happen so we can get back to business as usual with HL.
