And I still dont understand why that it. Diamonds ARE NOT rare. Granted the colored ones are "more rare" but diamonds themselves are not even remotely close to being rare. Tanzanite is rare. The whole creating a "demand" for diamonds to drive prices upward was essentially created by the companies that mine them or are major players in distribution.
