If the Dow ends with a positive gain in May that will be 17 months out of the last 20 months (85%) that it has done so. There have only been two other times the Dow has had a positive gain 17 months out of any 20 month period (85%). The last time was in early 1951 (point A) and further back in 1936 (point B). Thus it has been 62 years since we have seen a period like this in the Dow.
