Opts are a poorman way to play big stocks, My 3.50 puts cost 250$ and paid me 80$ profit, a small side bet on my holdings. Now on the same hand I bought SPY 162 puts [weekly ] for 1140.$ and got stopped out as the SPY kept running like a train.
