Number of packages FedEx delivers in a year = 2,737,500,000
Average fuel burned per package = 0.448325 gallon
Number of 5lb packages of used Crayola markers to make a ton = 400
Amount of fuel FedEx burns to deliver 1 ton of used markers to NF = 179.33 gallons
Number of gallons of fuel that jbi can p2o from 1 ton of used markers = 182.6 gallons
I STAND CORRECTED, MY APOLOGIES
Jbi can produce 3.27 gallons of fuel more than what is burned in shipping from each ton of used markers.
I incorrectly stated that it takes more fuel to ship the used Crayola markers to NF than they could make… as it turns out it does not.
It only takes 5076 art classes worth of used markers to make 1 barrel of jbi fuel…
And it only requires FedEx to burn 2276 gallons of fuel for jbi to make a total of 1 barrel more.
And I thought I was on to something when I said this p2o thing was a waste of time and resources… burn 98% to make 2%... What a brilliant green inactive Crayola and jbi have conspired!
