Probably a good call.
The reality is, a lot (Most?) companies on the pinks are junk. There are a few companies in the Medical MJ space right now that look like obvious shell scams - that do absolutely no business, have no cash, and are getting pumped up with promos. They may not be as sexy of a target, and maybe they won't garner as many page views, but if you really are interested in exposing P&Ds perhaps weeding out the worst offenders is a better angle? Or said another way, you might want to separate the wheat from the chaff and try not to paint every company on the OTC with the same brush.
With MJNA, I'm less concerned about their past and am more interested in their future. Sure, there may have been some dodgy people/actions in the past. But what I care about is what they're doing today and where they're going tomorrow. And today, it seems like they are getting their act together. They're selling real products to real people in a sector that is poised for ridiculous growth over the coming years. This sector also has some unique challenges to contend with, but I'm willing to cut them some slack in that area.
Any stock is a gamble, to varying degrees. And MJNA is a highly speculative play to be sure. But it's also one that's made a lot of people a lot of money already. We'll see what the future holds, but I for one am excited about this company and the sector in general.
At any rate, I missed the original runs and was able to pick up some cheap shares yesterday and today. So, thanks I guess ;)
