Well they paid off $360 million in bad debt to create $750 million in good debt. Market cap is smaller but the risk is also half as much and next time they will pay off 500 million - 1 billion if they continue on their borrowing / repaying trend (building equity and credit can never be a bad thing, while flipping properties for 2-3 x their initial investment! As for the lawsuits, there wasn't foul play just people making accusations - innocent until proven guilty. Just because people are sue happy doesn't necessarily mean it will hurt the price for the shareholders, lots of bears and vultures out there.
