That's a great point, Arch. I know I have talked to some people about DNAPrint and their first concern is about the ethics. There are a lot of people who don't understand genomics. Once you mention DNA they immediately think you are going to clone or something. For many people their only exposure to biotechnology is through movies like Gattica (which I highly recommend, BTW) or The Sixth Day. Remember that question about ethics at the end of Dr Handelin's talk?

Speaking of that presentation, Dr Handelin made the point that personalized medicine is a new paradigm in medicine. New paradigms require education. Good stories in the main stream media will help us in my opinion, too.
