They took something like 40 core samples from various depths throughout the tailings pile and had it assayed for content. Panning would not tell anything because the precious metals are mixed inside the rock, etc. which is why it has to be crushed and extracted. If I remember there was a lot of silver and something like .8 ounces of gold per ton. Enough to make this pile worth a lot of money. If and when....big IF and Bigger WHEN...they process the material, the revenue will be there.
