So think about this for a second. Common back in early age of computer programming was the practice of hiding certain items sometimes referred to as easter eggs inside the code. Now that could be several different things when talking about an easter egg for example in an old version of excel there was a hidden flight simulator. What if the creators of world's his within their software the ability to go back and find something unique within the code to make sure they protected their property. If someone were to deny access to wddd and someone had taken their IP they could potentially prove without a doubt, infringement if one of the creators left a hidden signature they could show evidence of leaving behind in case something like this happened.
