Group plants fake apologies in NY Posts for crappy Boston coverage
Someone's taking the New York Post to task for its shoddy coverage in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings and inserting fake apologies into editions of the paper at newsstands. "For the past four days, the New York Post has consistently published accounts of the tragic incident and subsequent investigation that were at best ill-informed and speculative, and at worst intentionally misleading and harmful to lives of those involved," the letter penned by news and culture website Animal New York reads in part. The letter, slipped into Posts on Friday, also cites the newspaper's incorrect death tolls and inaccurate and racially sensitive naming of "suspects." We'll see if the Post responds, but we're not holding our breath.
