VFIN and VNDM are known to short to themselves to create illusion that people are selling.

Their objective is to trick retail investors into believing that bad news is on the horizon. Let me tell you something folks, if you sell because a stock is "going down" and buy because a stock is "going up" you are probably losing money 8 out of 10 times. If you use that as the sole basis of your "trading strategy" without the refinements of technical analysis, then you will be left behind
