piratica, GOOG was infringing in the past before the trial, and after being found guilty of infringing they continue to infringe upon the patents to this date. Once they have found a work around, and implemented it, they will no longer be infringing and will owe VRNG nothing for infringement going forward from that date. It would affect future royalties. That's what the work around has to do with it, which is yet to be seen that GOOG has done or is able to do, or even if they have whether or not they will implement it.

Nobody can ask for the judge to be replaced. Early on someone posted that HJJ was retiring. I have found nothing stating that he is retiring. No other judge will be looking at the case at the trial level. The only chance of changing any of the judge's rulings are via appeal.

I don't know if the judge will allow Becker's deposition or not. The motion was filed by GOOG and, procedurally, VRNG was entitled a reasonable amount of time to respond to it. The judge gave VRNG 5 days, which ends today. GOOG waived their right to reply to VRNG's response, and the judge has ordered GOOG will not get to respond. VRNG response today, and I expect the court will rule on the motion possibly tomorrow. I also see no reason for Becker to be deposed, but HJJ hasn't called me and asked me my opinion. LOL

Red Angus, thank you for paying us a visit. My question today is a simple one, what does the "Work Around" has to do with this litigation. Google has been found guilty of infringement, Google had a chance to cross exam Dr. Becker, why let them call him back at this stage of the trial?, I, do not understand hos HJJ has handled this trial. I do not want to think that an Honorable Judge be playing games with how he is going to look on his last case before retirement. Can VRNG, at this stage ask for the the Judge to be replaced or at least to bring another Judge to look into this matter?, I am long, but concerned, I have quite an investment in VRNG. Can you shed some light into this concern, not only mine but quite a few other investors. Thank you "RED". GLTA
