In its policy statement, the American Medical Association recommends that for now, marijuana remain classified as a Schedule I Controlled Substance. The government deems drugs in this category to have a high abuse potential, no accepted medical use and a lack of acceptable safety.

Marijuana has long been a topic of discussion in the US and I don't think the topic will be going away any time soon. I can remember being a teenager and friends of mine sitting around discussing they felt that marijuana should be legal. I have seen this country go through the just say no campaign...this is your brain on drugs campaign and then CA making mmj legal. This topic has not disappeared at all and is more discussed publicly then it has ever been in my life time. While many may not agree with me....I still to this day do not feel that it should be legal for everyday use. This has more to do with the issues we have with our children and exposure to another substance in the world. But I feel the same about alcohol and the exposure it has on our children. I drink occasionally but it isn't something I chose to have in my house on a daily basis as I didn't want my children to be stuck in the world of addiction some day. I am actually divorced because I wanted more for my children and thank God they are all drug free and are not alcoholics. But with that being said I do believe that mmj should be legal in the US for people in need. Just like I believe that other prescription medications are needed to assist people with their pains and illnesses. We have addiction in any faucet of life. There is actually a drug epidemic in the US and it is completely out of control. There isn't a month goes by that I don't hear about someone overdosing on Heroine. Breaks my heart and I wish the country could spend more time on coming up with a solutions to this epidemic. This epidemic came to be because of pills that children were taking directly out of the medicine cabinet became to expensive and Heroine is much cheaper. Mmj should be legal with a prescription and that issue will never change inside of me. I truly believe it is a better and healthier alternative to the prescription (pill) epidemic this country now faces. I am afraid for my grandson and the way things are going in this country. There is so much money in the pharm industry that this epidemic has flourished in this country. Maybe just maybe if mj would have been legal years ago this country would be dealing with a bunch of chilled individuals instead of a bunch of screwed up, pill/heroine induced individuals that are causing so much violence in this country. But for now I am behind mmj and believe it has many benefits to people suffering ailments and that isn't going to change anytime soon. I know we disagree on many aspects of this stock. I stick my money in what I believe in and I do believe in this company and mmj. Sorry this message is so long.....no hard feelings
