My point is, that getting these "preferred shares" is not solely a benefit to the longs. For those who have been holding for years, or for someone who decides to buy some commons between now and May 13, it's no different. This "benefits" shorts and longs either way. The shorts will just dump the commons after they are converted to preferred. So, I don't see this as a win for longs.
