TIMING:

Kim realized he was close to a deal and began the pilot production program (to safely bring all the eggs out of cold storage and test commercial reeling and spinning equipment on the silk to see if any adjustments for the silk's special properties were going to be required). So he began the series of PR's.

When actual negotiations/serious talks began he realized that shares were going to be part of the deal and he'd need to have the authority to create special types of shares for the deal (and to retain his control over the company). So he set up the shareholder meeting that was a legal requirement to get that authority. That's why the meeting was on short notice: to delay negotiations as little as possible.

If that scenario is correct then we should expect a possible delay of 2 to 4 weeks in what was explicitly sated as TENTATIVE*1 timing of the CC to allow for the delay for the shareholder meeting and then for continued negotiations.

Expectations of an immediate announcement of a date for the CC are unrealistic, IMHO.

A number of PRs are possible before then: advances in the Pilot Production Program, etc.

Patience is required. It is a very strong rule in biotechnology that, in the short and intermediate term, things always take longer than expected. Exceptions are very rare and mostly in long term expectations that give time enough for higher level technologies to speed things up.

1* when you are doing something that's never been done before it's most unreasonable to expect things to adhere to a tight schedule! A reasonable amount of slack is appropriate.
