AMD's Spansion IPO put on offering calendar (AMD) By Matt Andrejczak

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Spansion, the flash memory unit of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) , may complete its initial public offering this month. The IPO is tentatively scheduled for the week of Dec. 12., according to IPO tracker John Fitzgibbon and Thomson Financial senior analyst Richard Peterson. Spansion aims to sell 39.2 million Class A shares in the range of $16 to $18 a share, according to its Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Citigroup and Credit Suisse First Boston are the lead underwriters for the deal, which may be postponed depending on how demand shapes up.
