COPY Edward Lewit, Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Lewit has been with CopyTele, Inc. since its inception in 1982. He has extensive experience at previous firms, having worked with NASA, the Air Force and the Navy on a variety of imaging systems for cockpit, vessel and laboratory use. He was instrumental in the development of facsimile systems and techniques, introducing the use of microprocessors and controllers in place of random logic into specific products. At CopyTele, he led a team of engineers and has extensive experience developing techniques and processes to operate electrophoretic panels with the goals of achieving increased speed, brightness, consistency, and the removal of latent images. He has guided the development of critical test equipment to allow flexible implementation and modification of processes to operate EPID panels to their maximum capability. Mr. Lewit led the team which created CopyTele’s line of encryption products, including voice, data and email systems used on phone lines, cell phones, satellite phones and over the internet. Mr. Lewit holds both a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn.
