Fred, I wanted to read the article but when I clicked on the link it took me to WSJ page that said I had to log in or subscibe.is there a way around this? I think pipeliner posted a similar story a couple months back.it was mainly how the bell and gasket broke apart during earth movement, but fusible was able to bend and give thus still able supply vital water in the aftermath.if you look at some of the installation photos you can see how it can bend.
