Jrf30 did a good job of analysing net proceeds for DPBE in the event of a find. With his analysis, DPBE would receive something south of $100,000 IF they found $1m worth of booty... and at this point $1m is a pipe dream. And, the below doesn't even consider the bonuses that would be paid to the insiders for work well done. Net proceeds to retail investors will be negligible IMO.

As it is, we get so little of what we bring up. We (the shareholders, the ocmpany, DPBE) do NOT get 50% of what we bring up. Not yet. The government gets half, then we get half, and that half is given 80% to the LP owners until they hit their number, which they have not as of yet, and so we are left with 20% of 50%, which is 10% of what we bring up. Until we hit the amount needed to pay off the LP owners. If this means we split that even further, and some of what DPBE bnrings up goes to threereale before it comes to our top line, then it will mean even less than 10% of what we bring up actually does any good for US. that would be scary!
