Really more of a Texas acquisition. Of the 140,000 net acres,102,000 are in Texas.
620 million does seem pricey. However when you factor in that these wells are online and producing and that pipelines are in place for future wells on the same leases, might not be such a bad price after all.
I know in one of the areas (the one I'm most familiar with) they have their own compressor station.
Lots of good wells on these leases and it hasn't been depleted yet.
Also lots of deeper zones are open in this area as well.
Not saying I'm ready to buy in just yet but this acquisition affects me directly as some of our leases are through Panther and Red Willow. So naturally I would like to see a smooth transition and hope nothing but the best for Midstates!
