Chart shows the deal between preferred and common shares. I'm holding both now, but i'm a lot more at ease with the prefs.

As we can see, the commons have swung horrifically, prefs just keep stair stepping up the whole time. They are definitely a much safer bet compared to commons.

*Commons are good for daytraders right now.
