Amazing is the right word. But I don't think most of the counterfeit notes, etc. will be detected with a smart phone in as little as a year from now.

They will be checked with Google Glasses (or some other company's similar type glasses).

Whether it's a dollar bill, a microchip, a prescription medicine, a designer anything, etc., we will only need to look at an item with our stylish eye-wear and say, "ok, glass. Verify origin.", and right before our right eye, is all the information on the item's history from date of origin to now, made possible because of a tiny little botanical dna marker made by a company we all know. If there was no marker, the response would be something like "Unable to verify origin", and then we would have to decide if we wanted to buy something that we didn't know where it had been, or when.

Anybody ever do a "Where's George" search on a dollar bill where you go to the Where's George Website and type in the serial number of a bill and you can see where it's been during it's "Where's George" history? You add the location and date where you got the bill, and it travels on from there.

It would be like that, only people wouldn't have to type in any info. And the information would be from the very start of its existence to the here and now and would show the date, time, and location of each and every time someone said, "ok, glass. Verify origin."

Amazing, indeed.
