xlt, they have each filed a Notice of Appeal which, in case of a settlement, could be withdrawn. The appeal itself can be withdrawn all the way up to the time the appellate court rules upon the appeal so it's not just the Notice of Appeal that could be withdrawn, if they so chose.

Yes that is correct. In fact they have not really filed appeals but an application to appeal which can be withdrawn (according to JJ on Investors Hub). So it is standard procedure. My response was ragarding a posters comment

There is no evidence of any negotiating going on. If there was the markets would get wind of it and start factoring that in but that is not the case.
