This is a very tricky question and I like to take a shot. Before I do so, let me ask the same question to other 5 well-known-blue-chip stocks.
1. Is MSFT (Microsoft) a good stock?
Answer: Yes and No
Reason: If you bought before 1998, you are in the money (assuming you still hold). Yes, it is a good stock.
If you bought during 2000 at high 60s (split adjust), you are losing money about 60%. No, it is not a good stock.
2. Is GM (general motor) a good stock?
Answer: Yes and No.
Reason: If you bought it in last 13 years at any price, you are losing money today. GM hit lowest price in last 13 years. No. it is not a good stock.
If you bought it in 1960s, you are in the money. Yes, it is a good stock. I wish my parents bought it in 1950s….lol I know Jim Creamer hates it.
3. Is KO (Coca cola) a good stock?
Answer: Yes and No.
Reason: If you bought it with Warren Buffet in 1970-80s, you are in the money. Yes, it is a good stock.
If you bought it in 2000s, you are losing money about 30%. No, it is not a good stock.
4. Is AA (Alcoa) a good stock?
Answer: Yes and No.
Reason: If you bought it before 2000, you are in the money. Yes, it is a good stock.
If you bought it in year 2000, you are losing money about 30%. No, it is not a good stock.
5. Is GOOG (Google) a good stock?
Answer: Yes so far.
Reason: If you bought it at any time, you are in the money. Yes, it is a good stock.
If you bought it at $410, you are still in the money. What about tomorrow, do we think GOOG go to 450, 500, 600 like WallStreet predicted? What if it drops 100 point a day? Did we remember QCOM to 1000? Then, it maybe only MAYBE not a good stock.
Ok, the lists can go on forever for all 30,000s stock listed on NYSE and NASDAQ. I think you see my point now. “Is this a good stock” cannot be asked or given for any stock in US market. Anything has two sides of view. Positive and negative always tie together for any person, stock, as well as universe. Only one is 100% Good that is God.
Ok, what do I go from here? When we buy a real estate property, we know location, location, and location. When we invest in stock market, timing, timing, and timing. One can go absolutely broke if he invested in a good company but at wrong time. NASDAQ still 60% less than all time high, and Dow 30 is still 30% less. Oh, yes, stock is for hold not for trade (W. Buffet said that?). Tell my grandparents about that. Their IRA/Mutual fund is still out of money, and one of my grandparents is in very bad shape. When will the stock market recover so my parents and grandparents can get original investment (not say interest) back? Not in their life time I guess.
Fundamental is a key when come to invest in the market. But timing (price) is number 1 thing everyone must know. I bought Lucent at 60 and it is 2.80 now.
What about CMKX QBID? Are they good stocks?
No, absolutely not. Why? Because the companies are cheating investor by not filing SEC papers.
Now, lets go back to GZFX.
Is GZFX a good stock?
Answer: Yes and No.
Reason: If you bought it at high $0.20 you are losing money as of today. No it is not a good stock.
If you bought it under penny, you are in the money. You doubled your money. Yes, it is a good stock.
Now lets look at GZFX fundamentals
GZFX is a reporting company. All its business, insider info, debt debenture, share structure, earnings, and managements are clearly stated in SEC filings. No guess work to figure out A/S O/S or BS. Did everyone see CMKX QBID filing? They are in pretty pink dress of course.
Also, there are 10 reasons why I invested in GZFX.
1. GZFX is a legitimate company with timely reporting to meet SEC requirement.
2. GZFX provides real service to real people. I use GnF service plan. We can see it, feel it, and rent it.
3. GZFX is partner with Circuit City to promote its service. CC is a real. They should have done market research about GZFX. They are testing 17 stores, why? They are not fully trust in GZFX but if 17 stores go well, CC will roll out 600 stores.
4. GZFX provides low monthly subscribing fee to compete other compaines.
5. GZFX bought gamechoice.com to go forward
6. GZFX subscribers increased from 3000 to 7500 according to interview a few weeks ago.
7. GZFX has three distribution centers in US
8. GZFX provides DVD and Game mix rental plan that no one is doing now. (Some will come in play later I believe)
9. XBOX, next PS3 and cube will push game to higher gear and game makers are to release many new titles to meet demand. That is good news for all online game rental companies.
10. GZFX had 7,500 subs according CEO interview in Oct 2005.
Since Enron, WorldCom, 2000 market crush, and insider dealing scandals, the stock market is longer the same as 1990s or 1960s. W. Buffet’s “Buy and hold” is no longer favor in many investors minds. Jim Creamer learned lessons and yells buy buy buy sell sell sell every day. The word of “good” has lost its original meaning when is used to describe a stock. A “good” stock can be a bad, and a “bad” stock can be a “good”.
Then, what does a “good” or “bad” really mean? A “GOOD” stock to me is that it MUST make me money! A “Bad” stock is that it MUST lose my money. INTC (Intel) is a bad stock because I bought it at 28 and lost money. GZFX is a good stock because I bought it under penny. Fundamentals? All the same when it is printed in black and white.
Then, again, Timing, Timing, and more Timing. Someone prefers dividends, someone prefers low or high P/E ratio, and someone holds for long haul as long as the company is in the business. But I prefer to “Show me da money”.
So. Is this a good stock?
Sounds like I am chasing in the circle again. Yes Janice. GZFX is a good stock now! Buy low and sell high.
Come to join us Janice. Let GZFX make your money.
