~ $TADF ~ The AH-64E is the first Army helicopter to integrate the LINK-16 communications system, which will allow it to connect, through voice and data streams much like over IP, to other advanced joint-service platforms such as the USAF F-15, F-16, and AWACS, the Navy FA-18 and E-2, and the UAS platforms. This system provides the Apache pilot with real-time situational awareness of both threat and friendly forces, and is adaptable to the numerous varied missions.
