Ort.to/eorbf Orbite certainly hasn't played out as I planned. They got their HPA plant built on time. They are producing samples and seem to be on track to produce and sell HPA. They snagged a big company in Veolia to partner with on remediation. Rusal still seems interested in participating in a JV on an SGA plant.

So why has the stock tanked????

Obviously I don't know.

Orbite has potentially breakthru technology that could change the aluminum and rare earth industries. Their HPA plant should answer many questions about the technology and it's scalability and economics. So why has the stock fallen out of bed???

I was reminded of Orbite, when reading about another Canadian company, Pro-Or, POI.v. This company has a new and cheaper way to extract Platinum and palladium(PGM) from ground up catalytic converters at much lower costs than current methods. Jack Lifton wrote an article I read on the internet spelling out how POI.v was going to revolutionize the industry as it was much cheaper to "mine" catalytic converters from scrapped cars than build new PGM mines. If you look at the financials of existing PGM producers, you will likely agree. I was very interested in the company after reading the article and finding out that the founder of POI.v was a co founder of ORT!!!

I was so excited until I read the date of the article. Lifton wrote it in 2006!!!

Fast forward to this past week when POI.v shot thru the roof because they have partnered with a big boy in chemical specialties, Johnson Matthey, to extract PGM's from catalytic converters. So 7 years have gone by since Lifton thought POI.v would change the PGM industry.

It takes time to be a ground breaker. And there is lots for Orbite to prove. Each time they successfully achieve a goal and prove up their technology, the stock price should move up but it takes time. We may be early. I don't know but so far, they have done what they said they would do. I intend to hang on until they don't. Too many high potential opportunities.
