Hi WC, just thought I would drop my 2 cents real quick. I've had 3 test's and a midterm this week, I'm mentally exhausted to say the least. I read your comment about FAFSA, that process is a joke! I disagree with how your previous year income determines your financial aid award for upcoming year. I had a decent income for 2011, my financial aid for 2012-13 academic year was peanuts! Don't know how they figure a person going to school full time and working much less equates to minimal financial aid, on top of that I'm registered for 12 summer credits and I'm sure I will have to foot the bill for a large portion even after the "summer supplement" application. In respect to you going back to school and looking for tuition assistance, you may or may not be aware of the top 2 websites for applying to several scholarships in your desired field. I have found them to be a waste of time! Look to your state colleges or university's first, but likely they may point you to the websites I'm talking about. You can also check directly with your states Board of Education Department. I'm sure your probably aware of this though. One thing my wife found out, after she graduated, about 9 years ago now, is that our state has a tuition forgiveness program. The state will pay $1500/year toward your student loan if you find a job in your field or degree, and if you stay in the state with that job. Only pertains to those in a field of Agriculture or Research and Technology. She only found out about the program 3 years ago, but better late than never I guess! 6 months and her loans are paid off! For myself on the other hand, there is no tuition forgiveness for an M.B.A. in Accountancy so I'm constantly searching for grants and scholarships, every penny counts! I did just recently make a very handsome profit on the 1979-P Susan B Anthony near date dollars I mentioned here a week or so ago! Bought out the rest from a seller on ebay, looking for more! Sold a very large portion of my silver, down to very little so I'm bargain hunting but there are some real cutthroat ass holes out there. Bought a few common date morgans from a local dealer, there were in an AU display case, paid $36/coin, took a few back today and the same guy offered to buy back at $25. I pitched my argument on how he previously told me he is buying almost any Morgan for $32, the ones i bought from him I paid $36 so he claimed there were obviously in the "wrong bin". I walked out fricken pissed off and contemplating ever returning to do business. That and there is a younger kid working in there who is under the assumption that "silver is everything" and you cannot convince him otherwise or even have a debate about other view points, he's a damn fool to, tries getting me to buy his 1.5 oz silver polar bears for $80/each with a bull s**t sales pitch like I don't know any better. Anyway, got off on a rant there, be well and good luck if you go back to school, a very wise choice if you can manage!
