Richard, You know, I hadn't really thought that he might be confused. Considering that we are talking about Bush that makes a quite logical 3rd possibility. As to the "CIA feed" we both know that could be wireless on a "palm" type device.
When I read the story it immediately reminded me of a campaigner named Wilhelm. He worked for Clinton and during the inaugural parties in 1992 told the story of his father fleeing East Germany in a hail of bullets. The reporters, of course, wanted to check out this exiciting story about the creation of the Berlin Wall. Mr. Wilhelm's father told the true story about how he went to the local communist leader and got a pass to go to the west since that was where his home was and he had been caught in the east by mistake. He then quietly drove to West Germany. Not too many months later young Mr. Wilhelm was relieved of his new job in the Clinton administration.
