I wonder why Q dos'nt spinoff the chip division(Spinco)

LIke they were planning to back in 2000-2001.

That would go a long way towards pre-empting any "Anti-Trust" ideas the gang-0-6 try to cook up.


And the shareholders get the shares of the new company.

Of course, Q could'nt add the chip division revenue to the bottom line.

They'd be able to valuate the chip division though. Maybe even sell it off eventually as they could calculate a value quickly.
