Think of the market as a huge auction...ticker symbol= item, Ask= sellers, bid= buyers, and the market movers are the auctioneers, they don't do anything besides listen to the buyers bidding price and the sellers asking price and try to find a mutual price. We can control the price, if EVERYONE raised their asking price to $1.00+ but who knows if there would ever be a trade if the bidders don't want to pay that price.
