GOOD GRIEF, I prefer reality. Here's some help:

"Although it does not meet the accounting definition of ROI, EBITDA as a percentage of operating assets (working capital and fixed assets) is a useful ROI type measurement."
http://www.costmatters.com/180-perspective/return-on-investment/

EBITDA includes:
-R&D
- SG&A (this is a bad joke in the case of JBI)
- Other expenses
- and Taxes, Interest and Amortization as you state.

None of these things have anything to do with ROI.

Wow.....just wow. Good grief wow! lol EBITDA on a project doesn't include R&D or Taxes, Interest, or Amorization. EBITDA means BEFORE -- that's what the "B" stands for in EBITDA. Good grief wow lol

Your post is completely inaccurate. I have the advantage of having worked on these Studies in my work and actually seen them, but still... you are dead wrong. You seem to be making it up.

Yeah, I'm making it up. Me, and the rest of the entire legitimate financial community including the very basics taught in every Finance 101 class.

My post is 100% accurate -- I have the advantage of 15 years market experience and studying finance nonstop around the clock for 15 years. I am 100% correct, and I also have the advantage of learning how to use Google after about 30 seconds.
