My apologies, I was unaware of the change to the catalyst and was under the impression that JB had discovered something 'revolutionary' lol

These can be purchased cheaply whereas a custom formulation would be much more expensive when purchased in the small quantities required by JBI's dysfunctional micro-brewery.

I tend to disagree that catalyst can be purchased 'cheaply' but I guess that is based on point of view... Catalysts for this application generally have a high cost of both initial price and 'maintenance' expense. Typically a catalyst requires rejuvenation which can be quite problematic because that means that there is a diminishing effect which causes a decline in effectiveness over time. In a continuous process this has obvious challenges that need to be overcome.

I can however understand your point that it would be 'cheaper' than custom.
