Why would HDPE, LDPE, and/or PP fully sorted and prepped like you describe not be recyclable?

Once again, the answer is-


THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL PROBLEM


JBI must use non-recyclable plastic

JBI now admits that they must pay for plastic


JBI must feed the machines Unicorns


Because the MOST OPTIMAL plastic is the same as RECYCLABLE PLASTIC

and they can't use recyclable plastic


The plastic they need cost more than the fuel, but they are not permitted to use it.

They can pay for non-recyclable plastic and spend the money to process it to make it 'most optimal' but that it will cost more than the fuel is worth.
If they can process the plastic to make it 'most optimal' for their machines they could sell it as recycled plastic for more money than the fuel value.
The recycle industry does it now with the help of government subsidies, JBI does not have this advantage and therefore have a greater cost and thus a greater negative loss with respect to plastic to fuel value.

There are no Unicorns, except in fantasy.

There is no commercially viable way for JBI to produce fuel at a profit, except in fantasy.
