Plastic has a value.
JBI admits that they must now pay for plastic.
Are you suggesting that JBI is paying for FREE plastic?
Are you indicating that JBI is buying plastic for less than recyclers pay when they purchase waste plastic to process it into recycled plastic?
Where do you think this purchased plastic coming from?
Only 8% of the country's plastic is recycled... recycle companies purchase only 8% of waste to turn it into recycled plastic.
This is the plastic that JBI needs... they are vying for a fraction of the 8% so they can process it to make it useable in their machines.
They are in competition with recyclers for the same waste plastic.
It costs a recycler around $1000 per ton to process this plastic. This cost is offset by gov subsidies in order to make this profitable.
How can JBI process this same plastic for less?
How can JBI buy this same plastic for less?
How can JBI do this at a profit?
