ceos are forced to focus on quarterly results instead of long term results. our fortune 500 companies these days have a shockingly short lifespan.
re discussing potential problems with the stock and then buying it
i dont see it as scheme to lower the share price
i see it as frank and open discussion of the merits and drawbacks of the stock
as contrasted with a scheme to increase the share price by never talking about any reservations one might have
armed with my thoughts, a more risk averse investor may choose to sell me some shares and from the point of view of our risk profiles, we both benefit, although in the long run, GDGI longs will get to say i told you so, i reckon
