Immediate Calendar Perspective, what to expect:

5:05-cv-00334 Rambus Inc., v. Hynix Semiconductor Inc. et al
Currently the parties are working in private with a mediator or district judge. All depositions are stayed for the next 2 weeks. So the action is to resume Friday, December 2, 2005 or Monday, December 5, 2005. I’m of the opinion Whyte will not issue his ruling till then. If talks are producing fruit he may hold off from presenting his findings.

5:00-cv-20905 Hyundai Electronics, et al v. Rambus, Inc Currently the parties are working in private with a mediator or district judge as indicated above.

3:05-cv-00406 Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. v. Rambus Inc. November 22, 2005 deadline.
By midnight today Samsung should file its memorandum addressed solely to the exceptional case issue.
On December 5, 2005, Rambus shall file its responsive memorandum and exhibits addressed to the exceptional case issue;
By December 9, 2005, Samsung may file a reply.
On December 15, 2005 at 8:30 the Court will hold a hearing respecting whether this is an exceptional case.
The parties will be notified by the Court if argument is thought be necessary on these issues.

3-05-cv-789 Alberta Telecommunications Research Centre v. Rambus, Inc
No case schedule at this time. No filing schedule at this time.

Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco AT Case Number: CGC-04-431105 They will meet again in court JAN-12-2006 AT 9:30 AM IN 304
“10/31/05 “If counsel can agree upon a mediator, they may go forward with mediation. If they cannot agree, they may set up a conference call with the Court and the Court will select someone to serve as mediator.”

So that’s the Immediate Calendar Perspective. At this point everything but Judge Whyte is a distraction.

It’s reasonable to assume Alberta Telecommunications will help Samsung in negotiations and also the issue of the legal fees issue in Virginia. Currently Hynix has a weakened hand compared to Samsung.

If anyone has any corrections or additions let me know?

Rambus still sits in the best position to date moving forward. IMHO

As always JMHO
