Aurora calculates money from marijuana tax

If the city follows the regulations for pawn shops and puts marijuana retailers two miles away from each other, Aurora would have 17 pot shops and an estimated $912,000 in sales tax revenues annually. But if Aurora limits marijuana retailers to industrial areas, the city would have room for six and those shops would generate about $322,000 for the city annually.



If only six shops can generate in excess of $322,000 for just the city alone in one year. Think of the revenues the shops will actually be making :)!
