Doom III. Do you know that subj was supposed to come in March and now postponed for July? Whatever the reason is, good for AMD. Athlon 64 and Doom may be optimized for each other by that time, and, important, game servers will have to run on Opteron. I don't think P4 will have enough performance to satisfy hardcore gamers on the server side. On client side, P4 2.8 and up, Barton 3000, Athlon 64 3000 will be required.

If released right now, Doomers will have to buy P4, as Barton 3000 is not available in volume.
