Joseph C. Canouse graduated from Stetson University in 1986. After graduating, he briefly worked with NCR Corporation in Finance and Administration before entering the securities industry as a Series 7 registered representative. In that time, he worked as a broker, manager and owner of different broker-dealers. He worked for several firms before starting J.P. Carey, Inc. in 1993 which specialized in assisting and providing financing to small companies. In various forms, J.P. Carey assisted in raising nearly two billion dollars for small companies. He has also lent his twenty years of expertise to small companies on a consulting basis, specializing in navigating and managing the public side of small and newly public companies.
