I think there's a famous saying out there that goes something like, "Smartphone checkouts to Smartphone anti-counterfeit authentication - one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Uhmmm...ok....maybe not.

This is great news for APDN IMO. Get people used to using their phones for checking prices while in a store, checking out, etc., and verifying product authenticity will surely become as commonplace not long afterwards. I hope anyway.

"Wow! That's an amazing price for that HDTV Lisa! Hmmm.....but that price seems too low for it to be made by Sony. Do you think it might be a knockoff?"

"Hold on a minute Sue, I'll check." (holds smartphone up to packaging.) "Nope. Not a knockoff. It's made by Sony all right. It says its a closeout model, and from the tracking info, it looks like it's been here at the store for awhile, so they must be trying to make room for new ones coming in. For that price, I'd get it if I had the money right now."
