In essence from my previous posting I think they are trying to avoid a hostile take out bid. Lets say they don't enact this then any big pharma company BMY, Merck, Pfizer can come in and do a hostile takeover and buy the company out. I mean it trades at .50 cents a share and if results come out good, then what is to stop a big pharma from doing a hostile takeover??? With the extra authorized shares they can add them in and increase the takeout price in the event that happens and stop takeout bids. Do you see why they are doing this now??? Smart scientists and smart management team they think ahead.
