CompuSonics Video Corporation Signs Letter of Intent With Scanline
Technologies

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Apr 25, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- CompuSonics
Video Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CPVD) Chairman Thomas W. Itin announced
that the company has signed a Binding Letter of Intent to acquire the assets of
the Delta Character Generator Product Division of ScanLine Technologies, Inc.
and merge the product division into CompuSonics Video Corporation, as well as
retain and utilize the ScanLine Technologies and Quanta names.

ScanLine Technologies, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, manufactures leading edge
analog and digital character generator (CG) solutions for the television
broadcast and video post-production markets. The company's customer list is over
600 strong and includes most major domestic television broadcasters, many major
international television broadcasters, cable TV system operators, video
post-production houses, institutions of higher education, the U.S. government,
and a variety of content and media producers. The Delta CG Division operates
worldwide through a direct sales force and a large network of established
international distributors. The company's key competitors include Pinnacle
Systems and Chyron.

Thomas W. Itin stated, "I am excited about the opportunities that this
transaction presents for the company. We not only get an outstanding product
line in the Delta CG product division, but David Scull, the President and CEO of
ScanLine Technologies, will also be joining the CompuSonics Video team as its
President and CEO. I believe Scull's insight into the technologies that support
his current product line and those that may be developed in the industry in the
future will be an invaluable resource as we continue to develop the Delta CG
line and seek ways to obtain licenses from those in his industry and others that
are able to benefit from the patented technologies of CompuSonics Video. He and
his technical staff will be able to identify and work with those companies best
able to utilize these patented ideas."

David Scull stated, "This Binding Letter of Intent between our companies
represents a combination of organizations with consistent views about the
direction and opportunities available to suppliers of specialized text and
graphics generating equipment, and the technologies that support them. Both Itin
and I believe that dedicated products, based on state-of-the-art hardware
designs and the video compression technologies to support them, some of which we
believe are protected by the CompuSonics Video patents, are required to address
the exciting new market trends before us. I am pleased about being a part of the
CompuSonics Video team as we develop new products and markets on the CG side
while my staff of experts in the field lend their technological expertise in
exploring opportunities for licensing the company's patents in CompuSonics
Video's traditional business."
