The only exception to this is the fact that Apple hasn't allowed their DRM to be licensed. As soon as this happens people will be able to do everything they want with their digital data, ie... make CD copies, wma copies, ipod compatible copies etc...
Why would anyone want to put a piece of tape on their CD when all they have to do is use the CD to make the copies they want?
The point and argument this guy is making is meaningless unless the CD completely restricted you from doing anything with it, which is not the case anymore thanks to the improvements in the DRM technologies.
