Right about the time hemp was made illegal was just about the time the plastics were really starting to form as a growing industry. Well the fibrous material in hemp/marijuana has unfathomable uses and possibilities. The cultivation and manufacturing of industrial hemp would of cut directly into the profits of the big companies. So the legislation was passed! And just think of how harmful plastics are to this earth!!!! North-Pacific Gyre That's enough said right there, especially since the oceans are a part of the life-blood of this planet! It's unreal what we as people do for monetary wealth!
