Form 10B is basically just a proof of claim that you indeed held the shares and typically they will ask for the date of purchase etc.... Nothing wrong with filing that and in no way will it cause you to lose any rights you have to your shares. Keep in mind though that shareholders are usually the last to be paid and creditors always come first so in many cases there is little to sometimes nothing left for shareholders in the end.
